Laser Surgery Products The Carbon Dioxide Laser is one of the most popular surgi-cal laser types in the world. The wavelength of 10500 nm is highly absorbed by water, and this laser type is therefore very well suited for cutting with high precision. Learn more... Irradia Neodymium (NdYAG) Laser The Irradia Neodymium YAG Laser is a classic laser type where the primary function is to coagulate blood. The recommended use of the Neodymium YAG includes alleviation of obstructions of the trachea or the main stem bronchi, control of bleeding gastrointestinal lesions, iridotomy, treatment of BPH, etc. Learn more... Laser Cosmetics Products Irradia Alexandrite Laser (for permanent hair removal) The principle of permanent hair removal is based on light abosrption by the hair follicle. When the skin is illuminated by the Irradia Alexandrite Laser, pigmented areas (such as hair) absorbs the light, and heat is generated. As the hair is heated up, a portion of the heat is transferred to the walls of the hair follicle, which in turn gets burned and seizes to function. Learn more... Irradia KTP Laser (for removal of blood vessels) Vascular lesions are enlarged overgrown blood vessels or multiple small vessels, and may give rise to e.g. spider veins, strawberry hemangiomas, port wine stains. The Irradia KTP Laser is designed to remove these lesions, with a focus on larger areas. The green light selectively destroys the red blood vessels, leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed, and with a beam spot size of up to 6 mm large areas can be successfully treated. Learn more... Q-Switched Neodymium (Nd:YAG) Laser (for tattoo removal) Similar to the principles of permanent hair removal, the removal of tattoos is based on heat generation by light absorption, but this time it is the pigment in the tattoo that absorbs the ligtht. Unfortunately it is much easier to get a tattoo than it it is to removie it, and depending on the colour of the tattoo, many treatments may be necessary to acquire a good result. The Q-Switched Neodymium (NdYAG) Laser is specifically designed to remove black tattoos. Learn more..
The Irradia Neodymium YAG, Irradia Holmium YAG, Irradia Alexandrite, and Irradia KTP high-power lasers use the same type of controller unit, and up to three different laser types may be combined into one single "tripple" laser.
