Irradia Alexandrite Laser

Exclusively available in Europe.

Permanent Hair Removal. The principle of permanent hair removal is based on light abosrption by the hair follicle. When the skin is illuminated with the Irradia Alexandrite Laser, pigmented areas (such as hair) absorbs the light, and heat is generated. As the hair is heated up, a portion of the heat is transferred to the walls of the hair follicle, which in turn gets burned and seizes to function.

The Irradia Alexandrite laser for permanent reduction of hair growth is ideal for treat-ment of large areas (legs, backs, etc; see figure to the lower right). With a spot size of 12 mm and a pulse repetition rate of 2,5 Hz, large areas may be treated very quickly (up to 3 cm2/sec), which is a significant advantage compared to other hair removal methods.

Irradia Alexandrite Laser. The Alexandrite laser can be combined with two additional laser types in the same casing: KTP, Holmium YAG, and/or Neodymium YAG.
